Our main objective is to provide maximum realism for pilots flying in our space, offering a safe, organized, and agile service, while still maintaining the fact that this is a hobby.”
The FIR Montevideo, part of VATSUR and the VATSIM, is in charge of providing virtual air traffic control service in Uruguayan airspace.
In addition to daily operations, we organize events, ATC training, and online activities for pilots and controllers, offering each member the opportunity to progress and enjoy a realistic and professional simulation experience.

The FIR Montevideo has an official Discord server that serves as a meeting point for the entire community.
In this space, you'll be able to interact directly with our staff, with controllers in training and in service, as well as with pilots from the region and around the world.
Discord is the primary tool we use to stay connected in real time. We share up-to-date information, coordinate flights, plan training sessions, and organize official VATSIM network events there.
It is also the ideal place for those just starting out, as they will be able to find assistance, support materials and the necessary guidance to take their first steps in flight simulation.
